Baked Ziti...Once again, I have no idea where this recipe came from, I've had it for 6 years and found it on the internet and saved it. We usually add a LOT of extra cheese!
16 oz dried ziti
1 lrg onion chopped
1.5lb ground beef
8 oz provolone, sliced
16 oz sour cream
8 oz shredded mozzarella
2- 26 oz jars spaghetti sauce-
2 tbls grated parmesan cheese
2 foil containers
Cook pasta, drain
In large skillet brown onion & beef until brown, drain grease
Add sauce, simmer 15 minutes
Layer as follows:
Half Ziti
All Provolone
All Sour cream
Half sauce mixture
Rest of Ziti
All Mozzarella
Rest of Sauce
Top with Parmesan cheese
Freeze. Cook pasta, drain
In large skillet brown onion & beef until brown, drain grease
Add sauce, simmer 15 minutes
Layer as follows:
Half Ziti
All Provolone
All Sour cream
Half sauce mixture
Rest of Ziti
All Mozzarella
Rest of Sauce
Top with Parmesan cheese
Bake at 350 for 30 min or until cheese melted (if thawed), 1 hour at 400 if frozen
Allow to stand for 15 min before serving
